About the Lemon Family
I have been in Korea for over 19 years, and Kristin for over 17. We were first stationed here together in the military for one year (1998) and later returned as a family for nearly two more years as furlough missionaries at Haven Baptist Church in Kunsan (2005-2007).
In 2011, we returned to Korea intending to study the Korean language. However, the Lord directed us to divide this time by laboring with Victory Baptist Church in Kunsan. During this period, the Lord opened the door for us to begin working with a Korean military ministry in the neighboring town of Jeonju at the 35th Infantry Division. God blessed us with over 300 young men making decisions for Christ. During this time, Victory Baptist Church and Haven Baptist Church merged, and we were privileged to work with the Haven Ministry once again-the ministry where I was saved in 1995.
Following this, the Lord led us to build/establish Faith International Baptist Church in another nearby town. Within two years, God allowed us to transition this work to a Korean pastor under the name Unity Baptist Church.
In recent years, we have had the privilege of being part of the Lord “Building His Church” multiple times. Additionally, we have ministered in several different countries with the same purpose.
The Lord has ultimately led us to continue in our five-fold objective: to see people saved, baptized, added to a local New Testament Church, discipled, and given a place to serve and multiply themselves.
Our work over the years has been guided by the latter part of Acts 1:8, which we have divided into four areas:
- Jerusalem: Our immediate outreach focuses on the “Whosoever shall call,” sowing as we go.
-Judaea: This represents the South Korean Peninsula, where we have had numerous church-planting opportunities, conducted special seminars, and preached/teach missions, evangelistic meetings, and church construction projects.
-Samaria: Specifically Southeast Asia, where we assist nationals who desire to plant churches among their own people.
-The Uttermost Part of the Earth: This is what we call our “Beyond Ministry.”
We have had the opportunity to travel throughout Asia, locating and ministering to people displaced from their homelands. In doing so, we have also worked with many nationals from various Asian countries, assisting, teaching, and training them to reach displaced and scattered people with fewer opportunities than their national counterparts.
