About The Lemon Family:
Thus far I have been in Korea for over 19 years and Kristin for over 17 of these. We were here in the military together for one year (1998) and then returned as a family for almost two more years as furlough missionaries at the Haven Baptist Church in Kunsan (2005-2007).
In 2011 we then returned to Korea with the intent to study the Korean language, however the Lord directed us to divide this time by laboring with Victory Baptist Church in Kunsan. During this time the Lord allowed us to begin working a Korean military ministry in the neighboring town of Jeonju at the 35th Infantry Division. God blessed with over 300 young men making a decision for Christ. During that time, Victory Baptist Church and the Haven Baptist Church were merged and we were able to work with the Haven Ministry, where I was saved in 1995, once again! Following this, the Lord lead us to build Faith International Baptist Church in another nearby town. Within two years the Lord allowed us to wonderfully transition this work over to a Korean Pastor under the name Unity Baptist Church. In the past years we have had the privilege of working to be apart of the "Building His Church" several times. we have also been able to ministry in several different countries with the same objective.
The Lord has ultimately lead us to continue working our five-fold objective. To see people saved, baptized, added to a local New Testament Baptist Church, discipled, and finally given a place to serve and multiply themselves.
God had directed our effort in Korea out of the latter part of Acts 1:8. He has broke it down into four areas: Jerusalem, Judaea, Samaria, and the uttermost part of the earth.
- Currently our "Jerusalem" has been the Gyeongi-do reagion of South Korea where we were lead to partner with Emmanuel Baptist Church.
- Our "Judaea" has been the Ggyeongi-do region just south of the DMZ (boarder of North and South Korea.)
- Our "Samaria" would simply be the South Korean Peninsula where we have had many church planting opportunities all throughout, as well as teaching special seminars, preaching/teaching missions, evangelistic meetings and church construction.
- And "the uttermost part of the earth" would be what we call our "Beyond Ministry". This is where we have been given great opportunity to travel throughout Asia locating and minister to Korean people who have been displaced from their homeland. In doing this, we have also been able to work with many nationals of these different Asian countries. Assisting them in reaching their own people, as well as utilizing them to help in our effort to reach Koreans with less opportunity than their South Korean counterparts.
